Wills

There are many practical reasons to write a Will, often motivated by specific events such as buying a new house, the birth of a child or the loss of a relative.

A Will is important because it ensures that your estate is passed on to your loved ones exactly as you wish. Few realise that if you die without making a Will, your assets may be distributed according to the law, rather than your own wishes.

Whether you need a standard Will or a more complex solution, perhaps involving financial planning or Trusts, Lifetime Legal can help.

After a few straightforward questions over the phone, we’ll arrange the correct Will for your circumstances to be drafted by experts. If your needs are more complex, we will send you a written recommendation, so either way, you’ll receive expert estate planning advice.

All of our Will writers are fully qualified and are members of the IPW (Institute of Professional Will Writers) so you can be assured your Will is in good hands.

Tips for planning ahead

When you’re writing a Will it is advisable to consider arranging a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), so that you can specify who will make decisions about your affairs, for example in the event of your ill health.

It may be that your Will requirements are more diverse and complicated. For example, you might want to leave gifts and legacies or make certain financial arrangements such as planning for Inheritance Tax or setting up a Trust to generate an on-going income for your family.

Fair prices, peace of mind

Arranging a more complex estate is not always a predictable process, especially if it involves a number of financial solutions and liaising with third parties. Our specialist Will writers will talk you through what are the best options available to achieve your wishes and what services you may need in order to achieve this.

Where a standard single or mirrored Will may not be appropriate for you needs, our Will writing experts can provide you with a competitive written fixed price before starting on the work so you will know exactly how much it will cost. Once you have agreed with your Will writer on the work to be carried out the cost will not change.
